1. The Gentle Tree of Thoughts:This virtual therapy is a personalized treatment based on Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). It incorporates the fundamental techniques of ERP and augments its effectiveness with colorful, soothing 3D visuals and peaceful music. This treatment includes is detailed information explaining how ERP functions, and allows the user to input 10 concise words or phrases representing their obsessions and anxiety-inducing thoughts. The user is then presented with a 3D animated tree, as leaves containing the user’s custom-inputted words and phrases fall down. This virtual treatment gradually habituates the user to their obsessions, greatly reduces long-term anxiety, and helps the user to eliminate their compulsions.
2. The Relaxation Journey:This therapy implements anxiety management techniques to help reduce user anxiety, indirectly decreasing OCD severity. This feature contains a variety of resources and activities that alleviate stress, such as stress-relief strategies, meditation audio clips, yoga video links, an assortment of relaxing music tracks, and inspiring quotes from renowned individuals who had to overcome hardships in life. Not only is this treatment effective at decreasing OCD symptoms, it serves as a convenient tool for everyday life.
3. The Personal Journal:This therapy is an intuitive tool, based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), for users to record their progress in overcoming OCD. This treatment contains information regarding CBT, and allows the user to respond to questions regarding the general nature of the user’s OCD. It also includes example responses and input fields for users to record their responses. In addition, the user can write a daily journal entry discussing their OCD severity that day and detail their plans/goals for the next day.
